Anyone know what the black adhesive that is used to bond the windscreen seal onto the body / glass is? It looks like simular stuff to what's used to hold the rear light covers in place. The seal has come unstuck on one side of my screen and I need to bond it back in place before water starts getting in.

Just done a quick Google search - any ideas which one to go for? There seam to be a number of different options.

Boat chandlers stock it, as do major auto factors Partco etc.

The other option is to use silicon sealent from a DIY store....get the translucent stuff....just the job! I checked with Autoglass if I needed to use anything specific when this happened to mine and they recommended that.....

Personally I wouldn't use silicone sealer it may fix the problem in the short term, but will deteriorate with time IMHO.
