Good afternoon again, i am continuing the brake improvement saga and need to find some 300mm discs x 24mm (0r 26mm)which i think are from the cosworth rs 500 but im not sure. Does anyone know of anywhere that does such a disc please?

Don't know whether there are any standard production parts fitting that size (remember you need to get the offset right too). The easiest option would be to go for separate bells and rotors, I'm using a standard 12" by 1" AP rotor which is roughly the sort of thing you're looking for. Mine came from BG Developments, who also supplied the bells.

Some/many 300mm discs with the callipers will not fit under a 15 inch wheel . So either check before spending any money or change to a 16 inch wheel.

Looks like a good deal and they say it fits under a 15" wheel

Looks almost identical to the 300mm 4-pot superlite setup I used to have on the V8S, and that was an *extremely* tight fit inside a 15" wheel. It was fine statically, but I had to nudge things back and forth by a fraction of a mm to get the caliper to stay clear of the disc and the wheel as everything expanded and flxed. 285mm discs should be ample for most people in terms of heat dissipation, and this fits easily. It also has the advantage that the brake balance isn't changing as much. With 300mm discs you will almost certainly need to take steps to correct the brake balance.

Thanks again for all the guidance, i've had some adapters made at the local machine shop in shiremoor ,newcastle charged me £30, about 25mm thread depth and gone for 283mm discs from the cossy, along with yellow stuff pads, looks the business now i have to test them ,he,he,he
