Mine was, I swapped the original Pioneer for a newer one and it slotted straight in with no problems. It was probably the easiest job I've ever done on the Chim.

It'll depend on what year our car is,and also if your lucky enough to have had someone previously done it for you,if you have an earlier car.

My M reg Chim just had a terminal block (chocolate block I think they are called) - I think the previous owner had put an aftermarket stereo in and had cut off the old connector. I bought an ISO connector and wired it into the therminal block so it is now just a case of plugging the stereo in and out when required.

It's really simple to remove the stereo, just pull it out and have a quick look, if its not an ISO connector, you can wire one in by matching the wiring from your current stereo to the block. You can probably download a manual from the stereo manufacturers site that tells you what all the wires are and what they do.

Yep mine was an ISO block on a 2000 model, a very easy change.

the speakers were more of a problem as they are 6 inch and they are very hard to find.

Maplin do sone very cheap, which although not the best are better than the standard fit.

(just check your size first)
