There doesn't seem to be any obvious place in the interior of a Chim to locate and secure a fire extinguisher which doesn't interfere with the roof mechanism or human space.

Can anyone advise where the best location might be which is tried & tested?

Mine sits nicely on the floor behind the drivers seat. Even with the seat all the way back there's plenty of room for it

On the rear ,carpeted "parcel shelf" mounted centrally in its cage ,horizontally.
Affords quick access for both driver and passenger.

Mine just fits in the storage area behind the drivers seat (behind the flap)

Similar to this but mine's mounted on the vertical bit that backs onto the boot. I'll try and get a picture posted. See 4th picture on here.

Yep put mine in the middle between the speakers, upright, keeping it low(ish) so that it doesn't hit the roof (when the roof is in the down position), this is easy for passenger and driver alike to reach. Bolted it in place, I had the petrol tank out at the time, so getting to the fixings was easy. But I reckon this would have still been O.K. with the tank in.

The only drawback I can see is that if some ah decides to let it off if you leave the car unattended....plus looks a bit max power, but I guess its a bit late for me to start worrying about that!
