Hello again ,could anyone give me any guidance on removing the diff on my chimaera please or is it possible to replace the bushes without it's removal?

Diff removal, Fun!!!
lol, Its been awhile since I dropped mine out but I seem to remember it not being too bad, putting it back would have been a lot easier with two people mind, takes a little manovering back in to place!
Once the drive shafts are unbolted and removed its not to bad. I did it lying on my back which was a little tricky, more clearance would have been nice!
Are you replacing all the bushes? I think only the one at the back above it needs the diff to be removed. And thats a bit of a pig to do anyhow!
Apparently once you have managed to get the old one out if you freeze the new one and then heat the mount slightly before fitting it is a lot easier!! I didn't and it was a real issue getting the new bush in!
if I can be of anymore help just e-mail me!
might have some pics somewhere
Hope this helps a little!
cheers Rich

.. took me 6 hours, probably the first 2 were just getting the drive shafts unbolted, and then (on the GKN) there's the 4 bolts holding the prop end of the diff on, two of which are virtually impossible to get at (and mine had been rusting for 10 years).

IMHO get some quotes !!
