There is an adjuster that you get to from the driver's side rear wheel arch. You will need to jack the car up and remove the wheel then follow the handbrake cable back from the caliper. You will find a plastic adjuster. Loosen off the locknut then turn the adjuster as required, remembering to tighten the locknut again when finished.

Tricky20.....Mine only comes up two clicks and holds pretty well. Why are you adjusting it ??........ If it is because its hard to get to the second click try pressing on the brake pedal as you apply and dissengage the hand brake.......

I wouldn't bother, it's only there for decoration.

1) Leave it in gear when parked
2) Practice your clutch/throttle balance on hill starts

On this subject, and I may be stating the obvious here but, every so often hand-tighten the push button on the handbrake lever
It works loose over time and it's a b*gger trying to find it, and the various washers, that come flying off when it decides to launch itself towards the rearview mirror.

The rear calipers are from a Ford Sierra (on my '95 4.0). The handbrake needs to be adjusted to be fully on at 4 clicks on the Sierra to allow the self adjusting mechanism in the caliper to work correctly - so I have set my TVR up to be the same. My handbrake holds no problem at all on very steep hills and has not needed adjusting for the last 2 years as the self adjuster is doing what it should.
