Fuel guage u/s

I took the battery out the other day, charged it, put it back & now the fuel guage is dead!
Everything else is fine inc the instrument lights. I have had a look at the wiring diagram in the Bible but can't make head nor tail of it.
Anyone know which fuse or wire I need to home in on? I must have knocked one loose but without knowing which one to trace I'm stuffed
