Buy nice shiny pedals i thought, they will be easy to fit! I was right too, did the hard bits, changing the throttle arm then onto the easy bit, ie screwing in the new pedals only to find that the clutch pedal had seized. I dont know what caused this but got to about an inch to go and wouldnt shift.
So after much palava, cut off pedal and am now waiting on local tool shop to get me 7/16 UNF thread tap so i can drill out and retap, ARRRRRRGGGGGGG!!!

So if anyone needs a 7/16 UNF tap and is in herts you now know who to borrow it off.

I must say a big thanks to the guys and gals at LevenTech who it was very nice to meet on Wednesday and were most helpful today.

Nick - ooh - sounds nasty - what caused the clutch to seize? Not a prob I've come across before - any idea? Are the Leven pedals good to drive with? - am thinking of getting some meself... your feedback would be much appreciated! cheers, Tant.

Recently had a water leak on divers side footwell which took me a while to figure out. Water was coming in via the clutch master cylinder and running from there down the clutch arm. Water was dripping from the threaded bar of the pedal - the thread is now corroded but at least it doesn't leak any more.

The problem Nick has had with unscrewing the original pedal is the first we have heard of and we have supplied hundreds of pedals. The original arm and pedal are both carbon steel so it sounds like they rusted together. If this happens to anyone having problems adjusting the pedals, original or ours, we would suggest the use of WD40 or something simular.

Well......after much drilling, tread tapping and application of WD40, Loctite, cutting compound i have finally sorted it!!! Thread on the clutch arm has now been retapped removing all the corroded nastyness.
Have just done the first 20 miles with the LevenTech pedals and they are very nice to drive with on first impression. I am a big bloke with big feet and im having no probs with them.
Once again thanks to LevenTech for their support, they even offered to lend me the tread tap if i couldn't find one, very nice peeps they are too.
If anyone in the Herts area needs a supplier of bits and tools then i have two very good companies in St Albans who are again most helpful. E mail me for further details.
Hopefully i will see some of you on sunday in Harpenden.

Steady now - you know where this could lead - a passenger ride in my Chimaera & next I know, you've gone & bought one
Whatever you do, don't have a test-drive in the new T350C
