Anyone know where i can get vacuum advance unit on dizzy body,mines split.or what model range rover its off,would be much appreciated.oh its 4.0 chim 1996.

Just get a line of rubber hosing of the same diameter and cut to size.
Early cars had a valve in the tube but it's not really needed.

no no its the metal capsule on the body im after,it wont hold vacuum,internal leak.thanks anyways.

My mistake, sorry.
At a guess then it would be a Rangerover part- possibly from a Discovery?

RPI sell the vac advance actuators for a few quid, I expect most RV8 specialists will supply them, and any decent TVR dealer/specialist. If you get stuck you could even pick them up from a Land Rover dealer although you might end up paying over the odds.

Standard LR ones on ebay for £40 IIRC, RPI for £45. Wise man say car run better with vac disconnected, but I remain sceptical. You could try it though...

many thanks lads,thats what ill do,i must say ill keep with vac,it helps response low down & fuel consumption at cruising speeds apply,s to most engines unless they are at max revs all the time.
