I've designated this weekend as the annual chassis treatment weekend. The good news is that it all looks good.

However I discovered a piece of pipe which comes through, into the wheel arch. It was loose so I gave it a tug and a right-angled piece of what seems to be windscreen washer pipe came out.

Any ideas what this is? My theories are a) some kind of water drain (which I've now broken) or b) a vent for the battery compartment.

You can find both the condensate drain for the a/c and the battery vent pipe,in the n/side arch. The vent pipe is small bore and usually clear pipe.

Humm, no aircon so I'm guessing it's a battery vent. I'll just stick it back in and hope for the best...
