Anybody got any idea where water is getting into my chimps sump. Have had the head off and replaced gasket set. Same with the water pump. Runs great with new oil but soon as we fill the rad the oil is totalled. Thought i might have got a pourous head but the water is getting into the oil far to quick.

Must be coming through the valley gasket or the front cover. Unless ... erm ... you aren't filling the water up by that '710' cap are you?

Where abouts does this valley gasket live. Was driving fine then cut out. Started again but was running rough. Let it cool down and started again but had water in the oil. Had it stripped to the block but no sign of any probs.

Valley gasket is the big curved gasket that seals the heads to the inlet manifold and seals the top of the valley. If you've got dirt under the gasket then the water jacket in the inlet manifold could leak into the valley.

Alternatively since you've just fitted new head gaskets it's possible that something went wrong there. Do you have the equipment to do a leakdown test? If not, drain the water and take the fan belt off, run the engine for thirty seconds and see if you get puffs of exhaust out of the water filler cap when you blip the throttle.
