i just copied this post from an alfa romeo forum, a lesson in winter driving to all of us chimaera owners.

I just recieved some very sad news, an old friend of mine died in a car crash at the weekend. He was driving his TVR Chimera, they think he hit some black ice, but whatever happened he ended up clipping a hedgerow and flipping the car. He didn't stand any chance.

This is a guy whith both carting and club racing experience under his belt, so the lesson is, even experienced and capable drivers can get it very wrong in a TVR.

Good point dhamah - thanks for posting this across - I'm assuming the driver/chimaera isn't known on this forum? Wonder if we should all fit rollbars from TowerView or elsewhere... might not have helped by sound of things, tho... again - good post - we need to take real care. Anybody know any more about this crash?

Picture of the Chimera involved in the A3 accident last weekend near Send/Guildford posted in this week's local rag. The driver was from Walton-on-Thames (not appropriate to post his name). Very sad.
