No, it's not some NHS testicular alarm.
Last Sunday, I was on a first date with a girl and we had lunch in a pub (me drinking Gingerbeer).
Upon returning to the car, I was shocked to see that the nearside roof stut had collapsed- whilst the roof was up!.
First thought was that someone had tried to break into the car but, closer inspection revealed the top nut holding the strut was missing.
Due to the circumstances, I re-positioned the strut without the nut to get me home and, later, searched under and behind the passenger seat to try and find that errant nut... to no avail.
Eventually I found it in the forward of the two passenger door pockets! It must've worked loose, dropped then bounced off the seat and neatly scored a goal- before I met my date.
Anyway, after replacing and tightening it, I decided to check the other three.. and they were all loose!
Obviously they don't want to be over-tightened (GRP) but worth checking all the same on older cars,,
