Best place for carpets and fitting around Bedfordshire?
Discussion
I know some of you have had your cars done so any advice would be greatly received.
I've been looking through previous posts for any pointers for the best place to get a Chimaera re carpetted.
My current carpet has 10 years worth of leaks and stains which i cannot get out even with a steam cleaner and is starting to annoy me.
I've stopped the leaks using the favorite method of hose pipe on full pelt whilst sitting in the car.
An idea of what the cost was would be great aswell.
Thanks

HELP !! DRIVING ALONG HAPPILY TODAY WENT ROUND A SMALL ROUND ABOUT AND TREVOR CUT OUT ! MANAGED TO DRIFT INTO SIDE ROAD. NORMALY AFTER TURNING OFF IMOBILISER AND SWITCHING IGNITION ON YOU CAN HEAR THE FUEL PUMP PRIME UP BUT NOW ITS SILENT. ANY IDEAS ,RELAY ? WHAT ONE ? FUSE ? PUMP? CHECKED THE MIL THING ITS OK AND NO LIGHT ON.. ONLY HAD TVR FOUR WEEKS . COULD NOT GET IT GOING SO WE GOT HOME ON THE BACK OF A RECOVERY LORRY.I THOUGHT THE TVR WAS EXPENSIVE TO RUN BUT THE RECOVERY LORRY WAS BY FAR THE MORE EXPENSIVE.
Hi Tricky. Sorry to hear of your problem. Exactly the same thing happened to a friends Chimaera a few weeks back. He was about 500 yards from his garage so I ended up towing him with my Yaris (and I relish in reminding him about it
)
Turned out to be as simple as a loose wire on the fuel pump. Check it out first as it may well save you the garage bills!

The place in Baldock is called A&R Pound. I'll have a rummage around for their number.
Edit: Aha! That was easier than I thought - 01462 892704

Thanks Dougc i'll give them a ring
Had mine done there a couple of years ago, £450 for wilton carpet and mats fitted. I have to say they were excellent and I would highly recomend them.
They are behind the Tescos in Baldock if you know the area.
