GKN Diff Question

My diff seems to have a small leak, after checking yesterday it seems it coming from 2 holes which are on the bottom of the diff!
There are 2 holes either side of the diff, more or less in line with the drive shafts, what do these do and should they be leaking this much?

Hi,
all I can say is that I have seen these on my diff to, but they are not leaking. I can only assume they are there to help assemble the unit, or as an indicator to failing drive shaft seals. I have found Bernie at CTS (gearbox man) very helpful when trying to sort my diff out. I'm sure he would be able to answer the question.
