Hi,

I have got a Chimera 4.0 1996, it has the T5 Box. I have recently replaced the clutch and its beginning to slip already after a few miles. I have checked fluid and bled and all seems fine there. My mate has checked and he says there is no "free play" on the clutch. We have noticed on the clucth pedal on the pedal box it has been welded, it looks like an adjusted rod, its currently wound out further than it should be and tacked with weld. Was this a bodge from the previous garage that owened the car to give the clucth a little more life or did TVR do this? And should this be wound right in with a new clutch fitted??

Im confused...but then again it dont take much!!!

Thanks all

Neal

The std master cyl “push rod” is adjustable as pic shows (lower m/c)

Assuming the clutch isn’t being contaminated with oil? It could be the preload needs adjusting? New push rod maybe?

Inside the car you will be able to see the pushrod. Getting the ol unit out tho is a mission. Best of luck lol
