Could anyone point me in the right direction of the screws that holds on the transmission tunel cover on? Iv had a look but cant find any at the front but it feels like its held in place there?? Im assuming that the others are under the tray at the rear?
Thanks

One either side of the tunnel, at the pointy bits at the front, where the thing wraps around (screws go in near enough horizontal). Two under the padding in the tray at the rear.

And it's a faff to clear the handbrake and door release cables (on mine I think I have to unscrew a few screws around the centre knob that are exposed when the cover is lifted). The window switches just push out.

Not installing a Leven gaitor surround by any chance? Good luck if so

There is a hidden allen key screw at the bottom rear of the large round knob for the door release. You can get to it and undo it while the cover is still in place. Once this large round knob is lifted off, the whole cover just lifts off very easily, and mine completely cleared the handbrake. Simply unplug the cables from the electirc windows.

I was fitting the Leven gear knob surround. I chose to ignore their instructions of glueing and cutting, and once the cover is out of the car and on the bench it is very easy to fit without having to glue or cut any of the gaitor. It looks great when in place.

Rite got that off last nite without to much hassel....THANKS, can anyone tell me where to find the 2 earths that are located on the transmission tunnel. By the looks of things the whole of the carpet will have to be peeled back and the fibre glass mounding taken up. Is this the case?
