Hi,
I know this has probably been done before, and I've looked the various threads returned from the search function.

However, I'm pretty sure it's coming from the bulkhead area behind the pedals.

On Sunday the car sat in the pouring rain on the drive for 3 or so hours as I needed to be in the garage. Once done, I put it straight away.

Got in this morning and the drivers footwell was soaking, carpet not just damp but soaked...accompanied by aroma of wet sheep (guess that's wool carpets for you).

I've taken the carpet up to dry out, and there's little puddles on the fibreglass floor. It seems to be wettest where the bulkhead behind the pedals meets the floor.

Obviously something isn't sealed properly. Given the area that is wet I reckon it's probably not the roof or door that's leaking?

Any ideas where to check first?

Cheers
Andy

Given the area that is wet, I'd say it's the lowest point that the water could get to. It could have come from anywhere so I'd start with the usual suspects.

I had a leak from the screen seal that caused the drivers footwell to fill up after a downpour! The best thing to do is get your head up under there, and get a willing assistant to pour a kettle of water over different places. With the capet removed, you shold be able to see where it was coming from.

Check the sealing around all the pipes and cables that go into the inner wing under the bonnet.

Solved my issue some weeks ago. Took the carpet up around the door seal to find a big hole cut in the inner fibreglass panel. Looks like it was cut out to get access to the bolt holding the wing on. Water was being chucked up by the front wheels and was going straight into the cabin. Somebody had covered the hole with a piece of masking tape!!! Doh...

Almost definitely coming in from around the brake fluid reservoir. From here the water can drip directly into the footwell. Just seal it up, may not look pretty but should stop it.

And maybe seal the roof for good measure (assuming that you haven't already).
