Hi guys,

Whata great website - thanks!
I just wanted to say (scream!) that I bought my 1st Chimaera on the weekend after admiring the car from afar for about 15 years - What a drive!!
I am an Aussie in London and planning to ship this beauty downunder in about 12 months. Anyone who has done this before and has any tips or ideas, I would love to hear. Also, quite keen to find out about Chimaeras (or any TVR) in Australia. Anyone know of clubs, dealers, specialist mechanics, etc?

Thank guys - I am off to try and wipe the smile off my face!!!

Welcome to PH ,
Pretty sure there are some TVRs lurking about in Oz, might be worth checking this forum for more info - www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?f=139&h=0

My Sister's in Adelaide and now that her and hubby have kids they can't afford nice cars and bikes and are gutted every time I send them pictures. Let me know if you get your car down there and head that way. Any excuse to let them know what they're missing!
Good luck with getting it there. I'm sure I've seen a few of your fellow countrymen discussing their cars on here so hopefully you'll get some good support.

Don't worry, my Chimaera will see loads of Oz - even Adelaide!
I have looked into getting it back and it doesn't seem that difficult. GST (VAT) on shipping and car value is the only chunk of cost beyond the normal shipping.
