can,t comment on the solar charger but it may work, any takers, with those jump packs you get what you pay for the cheap one dont last 5 minutes, try to get branded product,i do know the snap on ones are really good, there also not as expensive as you think,in saying that there are alternatives.just keep it fully charged, and snap on offer a battery service replacment, only thing likely to fail after couple of years or so.stll think you could do with the remote power take off, might be levens i think.

Solar powered battery chargers are more or less a waste of time in this country. If you're expecting to get a flat battery, a remote socket for jump leads would be a sensible precaution. This lets you connect jump leads without grovelling around in the footwell. You can get them from the TVRCC and I expect most TVR specialists will sell them. Another option worth considering is a Priority Start intelligent battery isolator. This stops the battery going flat in the first place.

I have used one of the cheep Mobil start units £26 and it turned the v8 over no problem also its easy to recharge.
my thoughts on the solar charger is it can’t do any harm, any power you put back into the battery must help, but it is dependant on the sun and now you have bought a convertible all you will see is clouds
