I have seen a really nice chimera at Lancashire trade vehicles in Heywood. Silver with blue interior. its absolutly georgeous 36,000 . the interior is as new and its priced at £12995 which seems good value. they have got it on the autotrader. any ideas.

Cheeky bugger - mine's silver with blue interior and it looks the blllocks (even if I do say so myself...

OP - sounds like a bargain, go and check it out and if it's in good nick, indulge in the aforementioned arm-ripping/cheque-writing ceremony...

"all new leather and carpet trim"

New?

Why?

Could indicate vandal/water damage, owner-abuse - or just a poorly phrased advert. I'd ask questions.

As per Grifter, I'd ask some Questions.
As per M@H, price about right from dealer - but it depends what they know about TVRs.
Don't rush in. There are plenty of good ones out there and this is by no means a bargain you simply cannot miss.

Spoke to the guys there and they advised me that the interior condition is as new and has not been replaced.

So should I join the ranks of being a Chimera owner as I don't know if I would find a cleaner one.

Obviously get it inspected by someone who knows what they are doing, and if they clear it, and you like it, sounds like a good deal to me (what warranty will they put on it? And make sure the warranty doesn't have a £200 per claim limit or something).

I test drove an immaculate 99'S Chim 450 a few weeks ago priced at £13995 at a dealers. Similar mileage, grey and grey leather, although no PAS. very very clean though - PM me if you want the details (in Edinburgh).

look in the clissified mate, there's over 130 cars in there that are owned by enthusiast's and beat that price hands down, and hears the big crunch if a dealers selling a car for 13k he's bought it for 9-10k so does that sound like a minter! do some travelling and have a day out.

theres not that many minters out there, and buying from someone where there is comeback in case things go wrong is much better than private. and the price is quite good.

I picked up a midnight blue/grey leather '99 S Chim 400 with PAS, FSH, Immaculate, S02s allround, stacks of dealer info for £11500 privately this month.

As they say, go for condition over anything else.
