I have to change the coolant temp sender as the spade terminal has snapped off. Given the fun i had trying to connect the wire - does anyone know how hard it is to replace the sender? Im guessing some components need to be removed?

If fitted, some people use the Land Rover sender mounted on top of the engine, next to the ECU coolant sensor. It is often left in place unconnected, presumably being used as a plug. If you do use it, you need to connect it in series with a resistor so it gives a proper reading on the gauge. Do a search on here - the resistor value is mentioned a few times.

Cheers Andy, i did try and connect to that one but the reading was way high (as i suspected it would need a resistor)
Will have a search
