Just recieved my chim back from Offords after over 3 months of work. The old girl is like a different car. A big thank you to Simon and Ben. Very Pleased with the work they've carried out, everything works and my faith in the car is restored . They even stuck to the original quote when the work took twice as long as they estimated.
not surprised it took so long when you see the state the chassis was in:

Top service from a top company higly recommended

Can anyone recommend a new alarm that will work the central locking as mine is stuffed and offords couldn't source a replacement?

You would think it had! It was like that when i bought the car. I dont think the chassis has been treated...ever! Unfortunatly I bought the car without really knowing what i was looking for so I didnt check the chassis.

I havent got pic of what the chassis looks like now. The car as a whole is looking tip-top.

Try www.tvruk.tv/index.cfm for your immobiliser. I take it Offord removed the body to do the job?

Glad you've got her back. The boys at Offords have looked after mine since I got her in Jan last year and I've never had any cause for complaint. Simon and Bill are great and do they're best to look after you.
What did you have done other than the chassis? Can't see the pics due to works filters.

Wrong, I think the car had been treated with the Alien's plasma.

Good grief I've seen 14 year-old Alfas looking better than that.

Great news that you've saved another wonderful classic though.

Congratulations !

S4CJO,
Thanks I'd heard that these were the people to go to for alarms and audio. Bit far for me though I'm up near Newcastle. Does anyone know anywhere in the north east?

zippee,
What didnt i have done...
12000 mile service
Extensive Chassis work + waxoil
Exhaust mod.
Fuel gauge and sender
Gaz shocks all round
Rear brake pads and discs
Front top arm suspension bushes
rear top arm suspension bushes
Front bottom arm bushes
speedo sensor
o/s/f door lock
fan switch and repairs
new Carpets complete fitted
new seat belts
Sealed up anywhere that water was leaking in.
Think there was a few other bits and bobs more but cant remember without the invoice.

Think they managed without removing the shell.

Very old. One of the earliest ones, registered in late 1992. According to offords she's a bit odd, has parts on there that should'nt really be there and parts that they've never seen before!
