servicing costs
Discussion
Hi Jeremy,
I purchased mine just over a year ago,and have been pleasantly surprised at the running costs.Had it serviced last month, and although its got a full main dealer S.H,i decided to use a local specialist who came well recommended.
It was a 12,000 service and just needed new rear discs and pads and a couple of bulbs.
Only cost about 300 quid, was well chuffed!
Happy motoring,
Harley

Servicing costs can vary wildly.....
Servicing is every 6000 miles or annually, so depends on how many miles you plan on doing it, and what sort of miles they are going to be, (track or road)
I'd budget £500 for your services, then theres the consumerables such as tyres (probably a set every other year), and brakes, then the things that die on a regular basis, starter motors and alernators, then the things that just die or wear out, I'd budget at least another £500 a year on running costs, of course then theres petrol, insurance, tax and upgrades.
I'd budget £1000 a year/6000 miles to keep one running, some years you might get off lightly, but some years it could be more, go into it with your eyes open to the costs and you'll enjoy it, go into it hoping to get by with the lucky low costs some people quote and the first time it breaks you'll be on her moaning about wishbones rusting.

Where was that? Mine's coming up soon...
Hi Alex,
I used 'Scole Engineering' near Diss on the Norfolk/Suffolk border,
seem to be a very good bunch, and don't break the bank.
Only problem there being, they're usually pretty busy,so have to book 2-3 weeks in advance.
Got my MOT next week.Fingers crossed!
Harley
ps.nice car
edited to say, sorry to go off the subject, but wasn't the pic on your profile in 'Sprint' a couple of months ago(or have i been fed mushrooms again in my sleep
