Doors not opening with central door know

Hi All,
Today when tring to get our of my 2000 Chimaera, the door know just started spinning without opening either door. Im probably going to try to get the console off to take a look. Any tips or hints??

The knob is mechanical so you're looking for the two steel cables which go back from the knob and then sideways to the voids behind each of the doors. If both aren't working then I guess the problem is at the 'knob end' and so you'll need to remove the trim.

This is pretty easy, just a couple of screws at the front (driver's left knee, passenger's right) and a couple of others under the 'cubby' at the back of the centre console.

Solved It! Me being silly. Just the grub screw was loose and not contacting the base properly. Tightened the screw, and all is ok! Thanks anyway..

This happened to mine...the knob is held on with a small grub screw.There is just enough room to get an allen key in without removing the console.I tightened mine up and had no problems since.
