I'm sure I've seen a Chim with a net over the rear "shelf"

This looks like a good idea when top-down to save your belongings taking off when the boot's full when on a longer-tour.

Does anyone know if I can get them retro-fitted? Or even what I'm on about?!

I have seen them in a Griff, but not a Chimaera.

I'm sure I've seen them on ebay, but they were so small as to be virtually useless.
Just about big enough to hold a folded map or the drivers chest wig, that's all.

Nick,
my 406 estate has such an item for securing items in the load floor, it would be of suitable size, and it's not for sale!
Might be worth asking your local dealer of the price, presumably these are standard equipment with other estate cars. You would need to devise some hooks at the front, I think the back could be attached to the roof struts

Thanks all, maybe it was a Griff I saw it on originally. (It was just a photo so I didn't look carefully)

Maybe a cargo-net from an esatae car is a plan; otherwise just take a few less bags!

Audi do them. Have one in an A3.
Wasn't cheap, iirc circa 50 squids at the time
But brilliant

Good old ebay - just search "cargo net" , gives you loads of different sizes.

I bought one off e-bay for my daily hack. Cost over £10. Later found exactly the same thing in my local Hypervalue (a cheap shop selling all sorts of crap) for £1.50. They had different sizes there too

Bloke, just go to nearest motorbike accessory shop. They'll have them there about fifteen quid or less. Used it in my TVR's over the years, the dogs bollox.
