Change you radiator Caps

I spent loads of time last year meesing with my cooling system, the only thing i didn't do is change the raditor cap on the aluminium bottle.

Before I had random temperature variations and strange happenings, changed the otter switch, radiator, temp gauge and sender, all of which imporved matters but temperature was still variable.

Now it is perfect, i have a practially rock steady temperature.

If anyone has any temperature variation or overheating, change the cap first, it's cheap and esay and may answer all your problems.
