When you remove the retaining strap/clip over the motor assembly,
is there a chance that the bolts will drop down into the wing and
disappear forever, (anyone who has doen the job will know what I
mean) or are they somehow fixed uderneath.

No they're bonded in, just be careful not to overtighten them when you put it back together. I take it you've seen this which may be of use.

Yes, I have seen the instructions on chimaerapages. I had a quick look the other day and half undid the nuts but the bolts felt loose - definitely not bonded as they wobbled around

Humm, might just be a case of 'proceed with caution'... Not sure how you'd re-bond them neatly either... superglue?

Cant comment on the bolts unfortunately but i replaced my park switch twice - the first new one stopped working within 3 months!

Replaced again and now spray waxoil around the switch/tbe base of the wiper motor - seems to works and keeps moisture out?

Mine were fine when I sorted out my park switch, but if you're concerned you could get some long nose pliers and slip them under the 'strap' when the bolt is almost completely undone. Once the bolt is un-done see if the it wiggles, if not then the bonding is probably intact.

The bolts are tack welded to a strip that runs along the underside of the glass fibre. You'll struggle to loose them, and if you do they won't fall into the inner wing, but the passenger footwell.
