possible engine conversion???

JAGUAR XKR 4.0ltr SUPERCHARGED ENGINE....seem cheap enough to buy...looks like they make good power.

Woud make a nice conversion for chim I think. Anyone know more about this engine?

Certainly go like stink, but not sure what 'box you would match it with as the Jags were all autos? Think they also had their fair share of camchain and Nikasil bore issues...

What gearbox does the Aston Martin use ? that is a manual box.

The cam chain and nikasil liner issues would have been early warranty failures that would have been put to bed long ago.

I think the gearboxes on the Astons are on the rear axle, on the latest ones they are at least,

I USED TO HAVE AN XJR SUPER CHARGER AND THEY DO A MANUAL GEAR BOX ASWELL ONLY FOR THE XJR!S POWER WAS SMOOTH AND AWSOME BUT JUST LIKE THE CHIM NIGHTMARE IN THE WET. BEST DRIVEN WITH TRACTION CONTROL OFF.12 MPH ON A BAD DAY 19 ON A GOOD ONE....... CHEERS JON.
