My steering wheel has got so smooth and shiny that it is getting hard to hold onto - I would either like to get it re-trimmed or get a replacement.

A while back, there was a website advertising the wheel of a T350, indicating that it was a direct fit for a Chim - anyone remember where?

Or got any suggestions where I can get it re-trimmed with new "matt" leather?

Thanks!

Can't you just get a pan scourer or some other abrasive and scuff it up a bit?

I bought one off e-bay earlier this year off a 400se. The wheel was a direct replacemnt, but very slightly smaller diameter. I only mention this as you need to be careful. My Chim has no power steering and just that slightly smaller diameter does make a difference to how much steering effort you have to put in.

Actually, this worked a treat - gentle buffing of my shiny rim with a pan scourer resulted in a much grippier matte finish. Good suggestion.

No Brighton / San Francisco / Village People jokes, please.
