Has anybody removed the dashboard from a Chimaera 1996 4.0, at present the original is looking shabby and I wish to replace it. What is the best way of doing this and where abouts are the bolts positioned in order for me to complete this operation successfully?
Advise would be greatly appreciated.

I'm just doing this on a 97 model! My veneer had cracked from the summer heat!

I've found a combination of the bible and Chimaera Pages has a few good tips and where the bolts are!

Be warned, it's a right pain getting the dash top off, the bolt on the driver side didn't want to let go!

Also you have to be very careful when you're removing the MIL and inertia lights, mine were glued in, luckily the glue was quite old gave way easily.

If you need any more advise PM me

Cheers

Another useful thought (I hope)...

There are a few extra dashes floating about. Buy one and get that refurbished before swapping it for your existing one and selling that on.

Consider a stainless dash from Leven. Top product from great people. No future cracking problems!
