I am trying to get my door release nob off from the centre console on my 94 Chimaera. I can feel a hole at the lower front of the nob which I guess an allen screw or similar goes into. When I tried my allen key set none of them fitted. Anybody know if its is actually a allen screw and if its a metric or imperial size? Would be much appreicated
Rest of the centre console has come apart fine.

Cheers

Definitely an allen key screw thingy - can't help with the size though. Sorry.

I'm with Trefor, must be an Allen key 3mm ish, that fits a grub screw (ooer). It's probably in the "Bible" somewhere, but I'm buggerd if I can find a reference to it. Sorry mate.

Big Al.

Yes thanks it slipped over ok. There was no way that I was going to disconnect the handbreak wires!
The ears on mine didnt have any screws on them so I guess that early cars like mine did without them
Sorting out this reversing switch is easier said than done however.
Doing some more de-rusting of the chassis at the mo too
cheers
