Just had central locking fixed yesterday, came home in heavy rain, parked car in garage. next morning switched on wipers moved about 2 inches, then died, suspected fuse had blown. However it appears not because other functions sharing same fuses are all working.Any ideas please? By the way I had a new wiper park switch fitted a couple of months ago.

Apologies for this posting, problem solved, wipers wouldnt move because of lack of lubrication on glass ie water.

My problem probably caused by fitting new wiper blades as well, along with clean glass, giving almost a firm grip onto glass surface

Park switch is duff. I have the same problem, just need Ian to have time to do it but with the amount of rain that is around at the moment, its either full speed or off when I am parked up.

To get them to park at the bottom of the screen, put them on constant wipe and switch off as they hit the bottom of the wipe.

Just one word - Rainex.

Works fine for me above 25mph and eases wipers over the screen below that.

Yep as Gaffer said dead Park switch. beware because if left untreated it will start to blow fuses as soon as you use the wipers. you can do 2 things:

1). Take it off and replace - Cost you money, but your wirpers will self park and they will have an intermitten twipe

2). Take it off and cut off the small plastic button, which sticks out of it. - Cheap (well free) , but no intermittent or self park.

For future reference here's a guide to fixing the wiper park switch. It's pretty easy...
