Crazy Pricing?

I have just been quoted £38+vat for replacement mirror glass for the drivers door on my 95'Chimera after some scrote smashed it. Is this about right for pricing or grossly over inflated? Anyone now what car TVR borrowed the mirrors from so that I can try another source?

I think if you search you will find it on other threads as this has come up a fair bit!!, I think that it is off a citreon (sp) originally, so replacement glass should be around £5-10 from a motor factors!!!

Yep! Get the model and go to Halfords, you will find that a company called Summit pack and supply the mirrors, I work for the company that supplies the finished mirrors to Summit.
If you get any problems with fit mail me I'll sort you out.
I won't be a quick fix, but I’ll see what I can do.

Much more, as it's heated, ~£25 IIRC

Removal is easy, there's a "tag" you can see if you look under the bottom of the glass. Move this sideways (small screwdriver) the assembly should just fall off
