Can anyone send me a piucture showing the normal location of the ECU in the passenger footwell as mine (I have recently dicovered)is wrapped in a manky old tea towel and is stuffed on top of the battery.

Also, can anyone suggest an alternative location of the ECU code reader socket as there does not seem to be one anywhere near the ECU plug. Has anyone encountered this phenomenon before ?!

ECU position sounds about right, although you'll find it stuffs down beside the left of the battery box quite nicely too

Thanks for that.

I can only marvel at TVR build quality.

Apparently a number of cars weren't fitted with it, but I think the wiring is the same colour and can be spliced into.

Unless the car's fitted with air conditioning.

Thanks folks.

I've got another little gem for chaps. I've just read on ChimaeraPages.com that there is a panel over the transmission tunnel on the Griffith that can be un bolted to allow access to the earth points underneath. Apparently you have to slide the seats right forward and lift the carpets to expose 4 No. M12 bolts to release the cover section. Does the Chim have the same arrangement ? If not what's the SOP to get to them without destroying the carpets ?

Thanks again chaps.

Most 5l Chims and Griffs had the UK loom instead of the USA loom.

The UK loom doesn't have the fault code reader diagnostic socket wired in.
