Central Locking Button (Green Light) Staying Depressed...

Hi Y'all

Wonder if anyone can help me...

The central locking button - the one with the green light - keeps sticking down and wont release unless I get a jewellers screwdriver and prise it up.

This stops me getting back into my car once I've locked up and gone away. When I return and 'blip' the car the doors try to unlock but the button still being down prevents them from doing so.

I end up having to break into my car (and we all know how!) just to unlock the doors. The breaking in is a 20 second job but it's embarrassing. Even when I turn the round knob to unlock the doors the button stays depressed until I prise it up.

I dont generally use the button when I'm in the car but sometimes I accidentally depress it when I rest my arm on the centre consul.

Got any ideas chaps (& chapettes)?

Just a suggestion but have you tried spraying with WD40?
