Hi,

Just bought a 95 500, beautiful condition, but has the standard 4 spoke wheels not the Estorils they normaly have. Looking arround, Estorils are silly money once you include a refurb, SP wheels are £849 plus tyres now the offers over so what else can you fit that wont look Halfords?

No cost option to have the four spokes, seen one Griff 500 with them on too. Yes have both cars now.

Spiders. Wouldn't have a chim without one!

Mine are in graphite (or anthracite) 16" but a 5 stud fitting - came as a conversion including brakes.

Not cheap new, but plenty offered on a regular basis on Pistonheads, eBay etc.

Look just like the sp12s, what are they and where do I get them from?

Yes, they look *very* much like the SP12 ... I'd be tempted to say they are identical except for the writing embossed into the rim and the centre caps - it's a bit more visible on this larger pic (sorry, camera phone so not great quality).

You can choose your own offsets etc ... mine were 7x17 ET25 (not listed but available!), 8x18 ET35 ... as the closest match to my original estoril 7 spokes.

Total including vat, delivery of wheels, fitted & balanced T1-R tyres 215/40 17 & 245/35 18, nuts & spigot rings was £972 from Demon Tweeks (PM me if you want order reference #). They are available in gloss black, silver or anthracite (anthracite has a longer delivery, 4-6 weeks quoted but arrived in around 3).

With respect to weight, comparing a new front 7x17 with 215/40 17 to a 7x15 with well used 205/55 15, the 17" combo was 5.5lbs lighter .. the difference to a new 205/55 15 would maybe be around 6.5lbs. I forgot to weigh the rears.

I'm very happy, they've really brought the car up to date, and haven't cost much more than a refurb of the estorils and a new set of tyres.

You do have to wonder considering the price difference! The offer price was ok but at full price they are a bit dear and I need two sets so double saving.

I'm 95% sure SP have comissioned a "non-edge written" version of the Team Dynamics pro-race 1.2 ... even the centre caps are the same style (but with different logos).

Seeing them side by side would answer it for sure!

Like you say, a big price difference ... too big for me!

I have been looking at these as well and think they really suit the car. I believe they are Ford RS 17" alloys.
