Immobiliser Problems

Hi guys, I am now a week into TVR ownership and loving every second of it. Including the bits where it cuts out completely and I am left on a country lane with a car behind and a car in front waiting patiently while I have to remove the ignition key, lock the car and set the alarm with the blipper, then unlock and put the Cobra immobiliser thing in it’s slot and then put the key in and it goes again!

Is this normal, and if not how can I fix it?
