annoying missfire

had a good time at the chim fest - but on the run home the chim developed a miss fire at 2850 revs or there abouts
if you have your foot down it pulls straight through - but tickleing aroung it spits and farts at 2850 rpm and then pulls through

its a 450 chim '96 recently had a new dizzy cap and rotor ( swaped back to the old ones to rule that out) did an ecu reset and ot stopped for about 5 mins

got any ideas?

don't know if its any help but i had a similar problem, turned out that the bolt that holds my distributor came loose and it knocked my timing out, also should maybe check the automatic advance on it.

with mine it was leads gettin tangled and cross arcing dunno if thats any help

changed the th leads 3 weeks ago
may be the metal extension thingy's breaking down?
stupid cat has lost the misfire today- maybe its the cat telling me it ony likes sunny days?

couple of things if they are the magnecor leads these can cause misfires if the ignition system itself isnt in tip top shape? i have also had recently which drove me around the bend a car that misses once it got to 85 deg, this turned out to be the ecu!

aaaaah got it sorted

turned out the be crud on the connection on the really poor bit with the resistor between the coil and the dizzy


i hate electrical problems!!!!
