I seemed to be cursed with this TVR business. A few weeks ago it was a badger lying in the middle of the dual carriageway and now at the weekend a random football comes flying out of nowhere, totally unavoidable and I end up dragging it underneath the car for about 500 yards before a rather nasty metallic ping and then it flying out again. Managed to pull over eventually and have a look. Still driving ok and nothing appears to be damaged or leaking. I wonder if anyone else has these problems with the low ground clearance of the car or whether it is just me

I had the sump plug ripped off due to a speed bump (I was only doing 2mph).

I'm having a sump guard made to fit my 450 Chim as we speak.

The suspension is adjustable though.

Visiting from the Griff Forum wavey

I smacked the bolt securing the exhaust to the bellhousing on a gate stop (the thing in the middle of the opening when double gates open) because of the breakover after going up a small hill into a flat car park.
It broke the casing where it had been fluted up to make the bolt hole.

I fabricated a bracket and attached it to a different bolt. But I'm still concerned about both this and the sump plug. I'd be interested to see how your sumpguard turns out. Good Luck.
