Back from a nice week's break and I'm carless
The wife's Landrover's gone in to have it's airconditioning fixed after springing a leak (not for the first time, but that's another story) and when I came to start my Chim this morning - it didn't want to play.
Disarmed the imobiliser as normal, but got no telltale whirring noise from the fuel pump.
The ignition lights come on (although the oil light goes out almost immediately) and the engine will turn over quite healthily, so the battery is ok, but it doesn't want to fire (presumably due to the fuel pump).
Checked the fuel pump fuse (20A @ position #13 from memory), that's ok and tried swapping the silver relays down in the footwell. Get a healthy click, but still no fuel pump activity, so suspect the pump itself or one of its contacts. Seems strange though that this would die after a week of inactivity.
Any pointers gratefully received. Thanks in advance

See my post about fuel pump, are you getting both relays clicking? I had just the one in the black connector clicking and when I swapped them over no clicking from either. Then took the suspect one out and tested on multi meter per bible and no resistance between the soleoid connectors, 85 & 86, shud be 100 - 2000.
Got new relay today for £16.16 and problem solved. Might be worth a try.....
Good luck

I mentioned this in a previous post, but the exact same thing happened to me. Turns out the immobiliser had gone 'awry' and they garage had to perform a fuel-pump immobilise circuit bypass (if that makes sense). The rest of the immobiliser works fine.....
Alls well now after the new feed was wired up.

Thanks for that.
I'll check whether it's both relays clicking (one certainly is). If it is the immobiliser, is that self-fixable or is it over to Henley ?
I did try to pursuade my dear wife that she should drive down through France with the three kids in the Landrover while I took the Chimaera, but she baulked - somewhat unreasonably in my opinion - so into the garage and on with the cover it was.... :{

Happy to give fuse 12 a go too. Thanks.
Spoke with Henley Heritage (I do like those guys), who suggested disconnecting the battery, sparking it and re-connecting in order to reset the immobiliser. I'll check the fuse first (it's labeled 13 in the handbook, but who knows), then if not, it's out with the 13m spanner.
Cheers

LOL.
Where were you when I was trying to pursuade the missus I should take the Chim ?
Still trying to track down this issue (the nearest few TVR garages are booked until 18th Sept at earliest. The story so far:
Ignition sequence normal and car turns over
o All fuses are ok
o Switched relays
o Disconnected battery and left for 30 mins or so for capacitors to discharge
o Ditto ECU
o Checked fuel pump wires best I could (hard to get underneath on gravel)
o Sounds like I'm getting a click from one relay, but not the expected Click-Click (and can't feel it click, just sounds like it, but hard to be sure).
o Oil pressue light on
Arrghhh
but fuel pump still doesn't prime,

Al, you'll be pleased to know she's forgiven me finally, and is once-more running like a dream:
Just for info, it turned out be *two* dodgy relays (which is why changing them over didn't do the trick) and a corroded connection on the immobiliser loopback connector. Ho hum. Anyway, all running lovely now.
