Chim running temps.
Discussion
Hi all,
Now I have reached an age where I can afford to insure a TVR without having my pants pulled down, I have decided that Im going to treat myself to a relatively cheap Chim. I had a look at one the other day which seemed a decent car however........when out on a test drive the temp gauge was sitting on 90 degrees permanently and fans cutting in at regular intervals during normal driving. Is this normal, or shall I steer well clear?
Cheers.

Same here.
Mine seems to vary, depending on the ambient temperature of the day. This brings / brought on the dreaded hot-start problems, which I have countered by purchasing the Mod-wise hot-start kit and the 2-speed fan kit (both recommended)
And no, mine isn't a high-mileage knackered Chimaera, it's well looked after & fully serviced etc etc.
Any worries, I should contact Mod-Wise for their advice, or alterantively contact your local organiser of the local TVRCC area.
