Can you fit restrospectively a power steering system on a chimaera? if so, what sort of costs are we looking at? More importantly does it really deteriorate the sport driving feel?

Yes you can, but the question is whether it's cost effective. The powered rack is a TVR specific one so getting hold of one willnot be cheap, then there's all the other stuff ££££. I've seen figures of £1,500 - £2,000 mentioned on here, and if thats the case and you really need power stearing, sell your car and buy one with PAS already fitted.

As for driving, it makes very little difference IMHO. My old Griffith didn't have it, but my current Chimaera has PAS. Once your over 10mph both systems have a different feel, but neither realy felt 'wrong', and certainly not to the point where i would consider spending a fortune to change...
