Can anyone recommend where to get a rear wheel bearing for a 93 Chim, as mine has just started squeaking and grinds when you manually turn the wheel out fo gear? I understand that it might be a Ford part, so does anyone know what part number it would be? Thanks

Yes it is a ford part, sorry I can't recall which but you need to be aware of damage that can easily occur when torquing up the rear bearings. These bearings are set at a very high torque and DIY or cowboy garages will simply put the car in gear, place the opposite wheel on the ground and then tighten up the hub nut. The problem with this is that all the energy is sent into your LSD. LSD's can't cope with this.

Steve Heath's bible has a solution to this problem.

Thanks very much; will try and get a copy of the bible and ensure the job is done properly. I have recently heard that the Sierra Cosworth bearing is identical and will do the job. Many thanks again

TVR are actually cheaper than a Ford dealer for the kit, but a motor factor is cheaper again!

I just bought from TVR, because it should be right first time......

Thanks, do you know if there are different variants of the cosworth bearing or do you have the part number you recently bought?
