Hi ya,

I've been wanting a TVR since I was a lad, time has gone by (many years) and now I can buy one, yippee!

Can you please give me some tips of things to look out for when looking for a used Chimaera?

Thanks in advance

This has been covered before so there are loads of threads already with plenty of advice.

Among others, look for signs of water leaks (wet/stained carpets etc), crash damage (badly repaired), history is vital, unusual tyre wear (should have SO2s as standard), unusual noises (can be hard to hear above engine noise), electrics all working OK (mirrors, windows etc).

Don't get carried away with enthusiasm and buy the first one you see - unless it's a cracker of course!

Good luck and welcome to the gang

as a newbie I'd suggest enlisting the help of a professional such as James Agger of Agger motorsport (Tel: 07970 530890)or Rob Ingleby, do a search at the home page under links. These guys are enthusiasts and well known to the 'family' here
