Window is stuck!!!

Help! My drivers side window is stuck about an inch from the top. I can hear the motor whirring round but the window will not go up or down. I'm concerned that it will rain tonight and the car will leak! Is it possible to get the door pannel off and crank the window up manually ??

I've now taken the inside of the door off and can't see anyway of getting the window up

If you can get a big bin liner, even tape some together, drape it over the targa and trap in between the targa and the windscreen and the targa and the rear roof section, and either tape it down onto the window, this would at least keep the rain out overnight. Hope this made sense. Only temporary I know, but better than trying to dry out your carpets.

Guys if I can hear the motor whirring round does that mean that the motor is OK and it's most likely to be something else ?

Can anyone in the know say whether my window has jumped out of it's frame by looking at this picture :
