Bought my Chimera 450 A Couple of weeks ago. Sweet. Few Problems tho, As expected. Mechanically the car is perfect but it has a few electrical issues and I'm wondering if anyone has experienced similar probs. When either indicator is switched on the fuel gauge will decrease as the light blinks and will decrease even more if the brake pedal is pressed, the lights switched on or if the engine is running. also the light surrounding the fog light switch blinks with the indicator. On occasion both indicator lights will come on slightly faded and when this happens the engine will idle roughly. If the brake is pushed or lights turned on the engine will stall. Any Suggestions will be very welcome.

Bad earth. On the Griffith and I am preuming its in the same place on the Chimaera is the one below the Radiator the holds the front of the chassis to the bodywork. You should be able to see it throught the appature/grill look towards the rad then follow it down to the left. You should see a bolt holding some wire terminals, this is known to work loose causing the problems you have.

Have you brought the Bible yet? its a must for ownership, it Steve Heaths " The Griffith and Chimaera" see here www.tvrbooks.co.uk/

Welcome indeed, but I'm not much help. Having said that:
1) Don't leave the doors open.
2) Always bag your hood.
3) The rear number plate is illuminated through it so standard number plate replacements don't work / fail MoTs.
4) Don't get caught speeding
5) Don't get caught driving with your roof on if it's not raining (unless you've got a boot full of booze and camping gear on your return from Le Mans)
6) The people on here are lovely
7) I've been very happy with the guys at Leven Technology in Essex for keeping my car on the road and before them with David Batty at "The Garage"

Hello wavey

Ditto on the Bad earth, I'd start with the ones are under the centre console.

Cheers
