hello again, head still spinning i am afraid
posted a question yesterday about central locking problem, been back to the garage with your comments
tried battery disconnection but no joy!
clarification of situation is with a clifford alarm system, alarm set but central locking not working
open doors and alarm goes off
if i push the button on the door knob doors again not locked but there is a click from the dash approx near to vent/heater control
i believe that the alarm control unit is behind the dash??
is there a fuse somewhere between the door mech and this control unit, or am i barking up the wrong tree.
please help i want my car back ........... soon!
regards
sue

make sure the door switches are working properly. Located at the bottom on the sill - if the switches dont make properly when the dorr is closed the doors wont lock - at least thats how it works on the meta. IIRC you can check its working by pressing it with your finger you should hear a clunk of some kind a relay ? . Try sticking something on the door where it meets the switch to make sure its fully pushing the switch in.

You clearly have an immobiliser/alarm problem here. I suggest you contact Carl Baker www.tvruk.tv/ and get the expert to resolve it. From what I've seen on your two threads there's a lot of helpful advice but you're not getting any nearer to sorting the problem. It's a Meta alarm problem and there no one better to sort it than CB. Give him a call.

I had something similar, are you 100% sure all of the fuses are good?
