Does anyone know a good place to start looking for a replacement wing mirror mounting bracket besides the main dealer?
Some drunken idiot thought it would be fun to knock my mirror off.

Thx

If you mean the Mirror Tripod then just go to the TVR Dealers as its only about £12 from them and they usually have them in stock. You won't get it any cheaper anywhere else anyway (well other than a 2nd hand one at the scrappies).

Cheers,
Matt.

Same goes for an actual mirror. Mine had the same treatment, but they've managed to snap off part of the frame inside the mirror itself.
So, I figure I'll need a new frame, or entire mirror

I bought a complete mirror on ebay last week for £80 as mine had been snapped off in a similar fashion. It included all the motors, mirror , wires, mounting hub etc - all that was missing was the dorr open button underneath but the garage are going to unbolt the old one and fit to the new mirror:-)

Its about £50 ish to get it painted and fitted (mines being done as we speak !)

You could try a dealer or TVRcarparts but expect to pay £120 - £160 ish.

Edited to add: I bought a tripod first assuming that was the problem but on taking the mirror apart found the internal metal frame broken. Probably could have superglued but decided to go for new rather than bodge. the end result of about £130 is good IMHO for a genuine part painted to match. My Omega and Golf both had similar treatments in the last 12 months and cost about twice as much each !

I have a tripod going spare if anyone wants it....
