last Thursday I bought my first TVR (off Tweety),its an early Candy Yellow Chim, with some faulty mirrors! I have been advised that replacement items have been discussed on this site...can anyone give me some info about replacments, as I think the motors have packed in too?
p.s. wanted a TVR forever...its been worth the wait!

Hi Steve, sorry you've had no joy with the mirrors, did you try fuses/relays/connectors? you could always upgrade to the later Griff/VW mirrors. Hope you have some joy with them soon and the other bits.
picked up new car today:-

took a while to get back from Chesterfield to the south coast cos still running in
3000rpm-5th gear=60mph
very low geared, but should make it even more fun when its run in.
Cheers Al.

Griff2be recently changed his mirrors for VW items...

www.pistonheads.com/tvr/default.asp?storyId=6095

I am planning the same for my Chimp so will likely have some spare Citroen mirrors for sale. I'll have to check them 1st as the mirror ECU is dead so I am not sure if the motors are OK. (need later ECU for VW mirrors anyway).

Due to house renovations I can't see this happening for a while so I may sell my VW mirrors and get some more in a year or so

email me if you're interested.

Thanks for all the replies, thats gave me somthing to digest!

Felt a bit on the back foot when asking this question ...so thanks for making me feel instantly at home!

Had a busy day, took the Chim into Coventry this am for hood re-stretch £75.00 (looks loads better), then to Adrian Venn who will fit front wishbones and sus the mirrors, hopfully he can sort them (if not I have an alternative now).

Tweety your Tuscan looks good... you must have a thing about Yellow TVR's, let us know how you get on with it.
